Turpen Named Second-Team All-RMAC Selection

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo freshman attacker Moira Turpen (Newberg, Ore./Newberg) was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Second Team as announced by the league on Thursday afternoon.

Turpen was the lone ThunderWolves player named to one of the league's two All-Conference teams.

The All-RMAC Teams were voted on by the league's six head coaches, and the head coaches couldn't vote for their own players.

Turpen was selected to the All-RMAC Second Team after leading the Pack in goals (33), points (38), shots (72), shots on goal (52), ground balls (29), draw controls (40). Her 33 goals are tied for seventh on the school's single-season chart, while her her nine man-up goals is also the most in a single season in school history and her 72 shots are ninth on the school's single-season chart. She ranks in the Top 10 in the league in goals, goals per game (2.36), shots pe game (5.14) and shots on goal per game (3.71) and free position goals per game (0.56). She is also 15th in the league in ground balls per game (2.07). 

On the season, she scored three or more goals in a game six times, including a career-high five goals in an overtime win at Fort Lewis. Those five goals are tied for eighth most in a game in program history. In 10 RMAC games, she scored 20 goals, had four assists, tallied 24 points, and recorded 22 ground balls and 26 draw controls. 

Turpen is joined on the All-RMAC Second Team by Regis senior goalkeeper Brigit Goetsch, Colorado Mesa senior attacker Caroline Ohngemach, UCCS freshman attacker Sofia Watts, Regis senior attacker Justine Spahr, Westminster sophomore attacker Jordan Williamson, Westminster freshman midfielder Grace Szwedko, Regis freshman midfielder Alyse Valdez, Colorado Mesa sophomore midfielder Courtney Murray, UCCS junior defender Jade Wilson, UCCS senior defender Ava Goodnature, Regis sophomore defender Abby Mays and Westminster sophomore defender Marianna Dick.

Along with announcing the All-RMAC Women's Lacrosse Teams, the league also handed out its individual awards for the 2025 season as Colorado Mesa junior Courtney Havel was named the Attacker of the Year, while Colorado Mesa senior Ali Bryant was named the Midfielder of the Year and Regis senior Madeline Schallmoser was named the Defensive Player of the Year. Colorado Mesa freshman Heather Hawkins was named both the Goalkeeper and Freshman of the Year, and Colorado Mesa's Ashley Delaney was named the Coach of the Year.

Hawkins, Havel, Bryant, and Schallmoser were joined on the All-RMAC First-Team by Regis junior attacker Shea Murphy, Colorado Mesa junior attacker Justine Anderson, UCCS sophomore attacker Sarah Urbanic, Regis senior midfielder Megan Bunker, UCCS senior midfielder Erica Rivera, Regis junior defender Terah Skillings, Colorado Mesa freshman defender Sadie Chappula and Colorado Mesa senior defender Sydney Skinner.

Turpen helped lead the Pack to a 2-12 overall record and a fifth-place finish in the RMAC standings with a 2-8 record. The two RMAC wins were the most for the program since going 3-9 in league play during the 2022 season.
