PUEBLO, Colo. The Colorado State University Pueblo Track and Field squad opened the 2025 outdoor season at the Dr. Dan Caprioglio Early Bird Invitational at the CSU Pueblo Thunderbowl, hosting the event on Friday and Saturday.
CSU Pueblo picked up five NCAA Provisionals over the two day to kick off outdoor season.
Kaleb Beloy won the Men's 3000 Steeplechase with a time of 9:24.14, winning the event by over four seconds and picking up an NCAA Provisional.Â
In the Men's Shot Put,
Xavier Freeman won with a mark of 17.84m to pick up an NCAA Provisional. CSU Pueblo had more success in throwing events, picking up two more NCAA Provisonals in the Men's Javelin as
Ian Thomas finished runner-up in the event with a mark of 63.75m to pick up an NCAA Provisional, while
Moosah Alsaffar finished in fourth place with a mark of 60.85m to also pick up an NCAA Provisional.
Jadyn Herron continued her successaful 2025 campain, as the veteran distance runner won the Women's 1500 Meters, picking up an NCAA Provisonal and winning with a time of 4:27.23.
Also winning on the day was
Kaleb Tipton who won the Men's 800 Meters, while the 4x400 Relay squad of
Ryan King, Caleb McLead,
Emil Meggle, and
Tyrell Smith won.Â
Rounding out the day for ThunderWolvers, fresh off a DMR National Championship was the 4x400 Relay squad of
Gabrielle Dunich,
Jadyn Herron,
Leah Keisler, and
Helen Braybrook, as the squad won the event to finish up the successful weekend for the Pack.
