Women's DMR Squad Wins National Championship; Highlights Day Two Of Indoor Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Women's Distance Medley Relay Squad are the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor National Champions, highlighting day two of the championships for the ThunderWolves.

NATIONAL CHAMPION DMR SQUAD

The squad of Jadyn Herron, Gabrielle Dunich, Leah Keisler, and Helen Braybrook have officially etched their named in NCAA and CSU Pueblo history, as the four women led the Pack to a National Championship. While the Pack were the favorites to win the championship coming in, the four women did not let that get to their head, winning by more than five seconds.

The Pack officially won with a time of 11:14.56. Pittsburg State was runner-up in the event, finishing with a time of 11:19.45.

Herron got the Pack off to a good start after 1200 meters, giving the ThunderWolves a small lead after the first leg and a time of 3:31.66. Dunich kept the Pack in the race in the 400 meters, as the Pack finished the second leg at 4:28.24. Keisler put the Pack back in good standing at third in the third leg, which was the 800 meters. Keisler finished off her leg at the 6:36.47 mark. Braybrook brought the ThunderWolves home, running a 4:38.10 - 1600 meters (one mile) to cross the finish line at 11:14.56 to win the National Championship.

While Braybrook is no stranger to the big moment, the multi-time National Champion and All-American's three teammates of Herron, Dunich, and Keisler are all first time National Champions.

Do not let the Women's Squad winning the title distract anyone from the fact that the Men's DMR Squad is top notch in their own respect.

The Men's DMR Squad of Jon Sweepe, Tyrell Smith, Kaleb Tipton, and Reece Sharman-Newell were able to finish in fourth place in the event, running a time of 9:34.20 and etching their name into CSU Pueblo History as the squad will be named All-Americans this year.
