INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Track and Field squads kicked off the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championship on Thursday afternoon at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavillion.
The ThunderWolves had a light day on Thursday, just competing in three preliminaries.
Reece Sharman-Newell continued his excellence in the Men's Mile, as the greatest mile runner to ever come out of the State of Colorado finished in third place in the prelims with a mile time of 4:04.80, punching his ticket to the finals.
The top-seven advance to the finals, which will take place on Saturday afternoon.
Jon Sweepe joined Sharman- Newell in the event, as the sophomore finished in 11th place with a time of 4:06.97.
Leah Keisler also competed on Thursday, as the first-year Pack Runner finished in 14th place in the women's mile. Keisler ran a time of 4:51.03 in her first ever National Championship appearance.
The Pack are back in action tomorrow at 12:30 PM MST, as
Helen Braybrook will kick Day Two off for the ThunderWolves in the Women's 800 Meters.
