COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Track and Field Squad had a huge start to day one of the Rocky Mountian Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, paced by the DMR first place finish.
The squad of
Jadyn Herron,
Gabrielle Dunich,
Leah Keisler, and
Helen Braybrook took home the gold in the DMR, picking up an easy victory, winning by more than seven seconds in the event. The DMR squad picked up 10 points in the event and took home a personal record for the foursome, along with a UCCS Field House Record, running a time of 11:33.85.
In addition to the DMR squad hitting the podium,
Olivia Mikaelian took third in the Women's Weight Throw, taking home a season best and a throw of 56' 4.25 mark.Â
CSU Pueblo also had four more runners advancing to the finals tomorrow.
Tyrell Smith advanced ot hte 60 Meter Dash Finals,
Leyah Martinez advanced in the 60 Meter Hurdles, while
Janise Everett advanced to the finals in the 200 Meter Dash.
Day Two of the RMAC Championships begins tomorrow morning in Colorado Springs at 10:30 AM at the UCCS Field House.
