ALAMEDA, Calif. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Women's Golf squad had a big second day surge at the Pioneer Shootout to move up the leaderboard from 10th place to a T-6th finish at Corica Park GC in the Bay Area.
The Pack shot a +20 (308) round on day one of the tournament, but bounced back on day two with a round of +13 (301) to finish in a tie for sixth place. Cal State East Bay, who was the host of the event, won the tournament with a total score of +7.
Lisa Ekberg led the way for the ThunderWolves with a T-20th finish after shooting rounds of 79-71. Ekberg moved up 31 spots after her stellar one under par round two.
Freshman
Yale Lee had a solid start to the semester, starting off with a consistent two rounds of three over (75-75) to tie Ekberg at 20th for the week.
Alyssa McMillen had another good week for Head Coach
Tammy Lim, as the fifth year senior was consistent this week with rounds of 75-77.
Zoey Rodriguez had a stellar bounce back on day two just like Ekberg, as the Pueblo Native bounced back from an opening round 86, with a second round score of 78.
Freya Constable broke 80 on both days, shooting rounds of 79-79.
