ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Track and Field squads recorded 10 NCAA Provisionals at the University of New Mexico this weekend, continuing their dominant indoor track season in 2025.
The Pack were led by the DMR (Distance-Medley-Relay), as the Pack were able to pick up NCAA Provisionals with both squads that competed. The team of
Margot Thomas-Gatel,
Leyah Martinez,
Camille Renou, and
Sarah Renberg punched their ticket to Nationals with a time of 12:11.11, while the team of
Jadyn Herron,
Gabrielle Dunich,
Leah Keisler, and
Helen Braybrook punched their ticket to Nationals with a time of 11:18.82.
Thomas-Gatel, the decorated Frenchwoman also picked up an NCAA Provisional in the Mile, finishing with a time of of 5:01.64.Â
The 4x400 relay team of Dunich, Herron, Keisler, and Braybrook also picked up an NCAA Provisional, finishing in eighth place, defeating all Division II opponents with a time of 3:50.96.Â
Veteran throwers and All-Americans,
Katherine Higgins and
Febe Wessels continued their excellent collegiate careers, picking up NCAA Provisionals in the shot put, finishing 10th and 12th respectively in the event, picking up NCAA Provisionals.Â
On the men's side,
Reece Sharman-Newell continued his dominance, picking up an NCAA Provisional in his best event; the 800. Sharman-Newell finished second in the event, defeating all Division II opponents with a time of 1:49.09.
Emil Meggle picked up an NCAA Provisional in the event as well with a time of 1:50.26.Â
Jon Sweepe showed everyone how dominate of a distance runner the young man from Arizona is, picking up an NCAA Provisional in the mile with a time of 4:07.30.Â
