Football Places State-Best 16 on NFF All-Colorado Team; Vigil Earns Coach of the Year

Nine Named First-Team Selections, Seven Tabbed Second-Team Honorees

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo led the way with a total of 16 players selected as 2025 All-Colorado Team selections by the National Football Foundation Colorado Chapter according to a release from the organization on Thursday.

The ThunderWolves, who finished the season with a 10-2 overall record and repeated as the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Champion and advanced to the NCAA Division II Playoffs for the second consecutive and 10th time in program history, was the only school in the state to have double-digit players selected to the NFF Colorado Chapter All-Colorado Team. In addition to CSU Pueblo, NCAA FCS member Northern Colorado had seven players selected, while Western Colorado and NCAA FBS Air Force had six players honored. Colorado School of Mines and NCAA FBS Colorado State had five players selected, the University of Colorado had four players recognized and Colorado Mesa and Fort Lewis had two players selected to round out the 2025 honorees.

Along with having 16 players named to one of the two NFF Colorado Chapter All-Colorado Team, CSU Pueblo's Philip Vigil was named the Coach of the Year. Vigil earns the NFF Colorado Chapter Coach of the Year after leading the ThunderWolves to a second consecutive undefeated season in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play, while leading the Pack to back-to-back RMAC titles. The Pack closed the 2025 season with a 10-2 overall record and a 9-0 mark in the RMAC. The Pack ended the 2025 campaign having won 25 consecutive conference games, which is the longest active conference win streak in Division II and also won 15 straight road games, which is the longest active road win streak in Division II football. Vigil also led the Pack to back-to-back NCAA Division II Playoff appearances and the Pack hosted a playoff game for the second straight season. The 2025 Pack set new single season team records for pass attempts (486), pass completions (289), and first downs (307).

In addition to having a state best 16 players honored, the ThunderWolves also led the way with nine first team selections, including four offense, two on special teams and three on defense. Overall, the Pack had seven offensive players, seven defensive players and two on special teams recognized.  Here are the Pack players selected to the 2025 NFFCC All-Colorado Team.

First-Team selections – redshirt senior running back Kiahn Martinez (Denver, Colo./University of Idaho), redshirt senior receiver Reggie Retzlaff (Corona, Calif./Riverside City College), junior offensive lineman Tyler Ethridge (Midlothian, Texas/Midlothian), senior offensive lineman Domingo Prince II (Aurora, Colo./Cherry Creek), junior kicker Jackson Smith (Centennial, Colo./Santa Barbara City College), senior punt returner Reece Robinson (Los Angeles, Calif./Antelope Valley), junior defensive lineman Jusiah Sampleton (Giddings, Texas/Giddings), sophomore defensive lineman A.J. Jordan (Colorado Springs, Colo./Vista Ridge), and senior defensive back Peyton Shaw (Savannah, Texas/Midwestern State).

Second-Team selections – senior quarterback Roman Fuller (Decatur, Texas/University of Tulsa), sophomore receiver Marcellus Honeycutt, Jr. (Aurora, Colo./Eastern Washington), senior tight end Tyler Dvorak (Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek), senior defensive lineman Kaleb Manning (Clute, Texas/Midwestern State), junior linebacker Gary Seidenberger (Fredericksburg, Texas/Fredericksburg), junior linebacker Bryson Torrie (Denver, Colo./Vista Peak), and senior defensive back Keith Mckaney, Jr. (Avondale, Ariz./Desert Edge).
 
Retzlaff and Ethridge are repeat first team selections from last season, while Prince II was a second team honoree in both 2023 and 2024, but moves up to the first team this season and Martinez was a first team selection in 2023. Dvorak was a repeat second team selection from 2024.

Martinez earns his second career first team spot at running back after leading the team in carries (143), rushing yards (590), touchdowns (7), rushing yards per game (65.6) and also caught 12 passes for 99 yards and averaged 8.3 yards per reception. Martinez, who was Second-Team All-RMAC selection, gained 70 or more rushing yards in four games, including a season-high 112 yards on 18 carries in an overtime win at Mines. He also had two games with multiple touchdowns and gained a total of 689 all-purpose yards and averaged 76.6 all-purpose yards per game. Ranked fifth in the league in rushing yards per game (65.6) and was sixth in total rushing yards (590) and seventh in touchdowns (7). In his career with the Pack, he was a two-time Second-Team All-RMAC selection and closed his career sitting 14th on the school's career rushing chart with 1,726 yards and is one of 22 players in program history to gain 1,000 or more rushing yards. He also scored 18 career rushing touchdowns, which is 10th on the school's career chart and he had an 80-yard in 2023 against Fort Lewis which is tied for the eighth-longest run in school history.

Retzlaff, who is a two-time first team selection at receiver, earns his spot on the All-Colorado Team after ranking second in the league in receiving yards (993) and yards per game (90.3), and led the league in receiving touchdowns (16) and receptions (72), and receptions per game (6.55). He also ranked third in scoring with an average of 8.7 points per game and fifth in all-purpose yards per game (90.3) during the 2025 season. On the season, Retzlaff, who was the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week and NFF Colorado Chapter Player of the Week following the Colorado School of Mines game and also earned Second-Team All-America honors from both the AFCA and D2CCA, set the school's career marks for receptions (187), receiving yards (3,026) and receiving touchdowns (40), along with setting new single-season school records this season for receptions (68) and touchdowns (15) and had a single-game school record 14 receptions in the 2025 regular season finale against 22nd-ranked Chadron State and is second on the school's all-time scoring chart with 240 points. He recorded two or more touchdown receptions in six games and had four games this season with seven or more receptions. Retzlaff, who was a nominee for the 2025 Harlon Hill Trophy, leads all Colorado football receivers (all levels) in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns and is one of two players in school history to record 1,000 or more receiving yards in a season. At the end of the regular season, Retzlaff, who was named the 2024 RMAC Offensive Player of the Year, was the active Division II leader in career touchdown receptions (40) and is fourth among active D-II players in career receiving yards (3,026) and is the D-II active leader in career receiving yards per game (91.7). Additionally, he is seventh among all active D-II players in career touchdowns with 40, which is fourth in the state of Colorado history. He also tallied 11 career games with 100 or more receiving yards, including a school record 241 yards in last season's opener at South Dakota Mines.

Ethridge repeats as a first team selection on the offensive line after repeating a First-Team All-RMAC selection in 2025. On the season, he started all 12 games at left tackle and was a member of an offensive line unit that helped the Pack offense lead the RMAC in scoring (38.3), passing offense (297.8), and was second in total offense (443.3) and sixth in rushing (145.4). The Pack finished third in the league in sacks allowed as they allowed just 19 in 12 games for an average of 1.58 per game. On the season, the Pack offense gained 5,319 yards, scored 59 touchdowns, and scored 460 points, and gained a single-season school record 307 first downs, which was fifth-best in Division II football.

Prince II, who was a two-time second team selection in 2023 and 2024, moved up the first team in 2025 after earning First-Team All-RMAC honors and was a Second-Team D2CCA All-Super Region Four selection and a nominee for the Gene Upshaw Division II Senior Lineman of the Year. In 2025, he started all 12 games at right guard for the Pack. He was a member of a Pack offensive line that helped the offense lead the RMAC in scoring (38.3), passing offense (297.8), and was second in total offense (443.3) and sixth in rushing (145.4). The Pack was third in the league in sacks allowed as they allowed just 19 in 12 games for an average of 1.58 per game and the Pack offense gained 5,319 yards, scored 59 touchdowns, and scored 460 points, and gained a single-season school record 307 first downs, which is fifth-best in Division II football.

Smith earns a spot on the first team as a kicker after earning Second-Team All-RMAC honors and was a three-time RMAC Special Teams Player of the Week during the 2025 season. On the season, Smith led the RMAC in field goal percentage (76.2 percent), field goals per game (1.6), and scoring (9.4 ppg) and was fifth in total points with 94. He was 16-for-21 on field goals, including a school-record 60-yard field goal at New Mexico Highlands and hit a game-winning 32-yard walk-off field goal to defeat Western Colorado, 24-21. During the season, he made two or more field goals in a game four times, including tying a single-game school record with four made field goals at Black Hills State. In that same game against Black Hills State, Smith was a perfect 4-for-4 on extra points to tally a single-game kicking scoring record of 16 points. He went 46-for-46 on extra points and had a streak during the season of 11 field goals made in a row before missing against Chadron State in the regular season finale. Smith's 94 points this season were seventh on the school's single-season kick scoring charts, while his 16 made field goals are tied for fourth-most in a season in school history.

Robinson earns his first team honor as a punt returner after leading the RMAC and was 20th in Division II in punt return average at 10.4 yards per return. On the season, the First-Team All-RMAC selection returned 17 punts for 177 yards, including a 65-yard return for a touchdown against Adams State that earned him RMAC Special Teams Player of the Week honors. The punt return touchdown was the second of his career. Along with his punt returning prowess, Robinson caught six passes for 62 yards and averaged 10.3 yards per catch and had a touchdown reception. Was a two-time All-RMAC selection and a two-time RMAC Special Teams Player of the Week in his career and is first among active Division II players with two career punt return touchdowns, which is tied for second-most in school history. In his career, he returned 23 punts for 309 yards and averaged 13.4 yards per punt return.

Sampleton earns first team honors on the defensive line after earning First-Team All-RMAC honors this season and was an honorable mention All-RMAC honoree in 2024. During the 2025 campaign, Sampleton recorded 28 total tackles, 6.4 tackles for a loss, 0.5 sacks, four quarterback hurries, two pass break-ups, and a blocked kick. His 6.5 tackles for a loss were second-most on the team and he had three or more tackles in a game four times, including a career-high seven tackles at Black Hills State. In that same game against Black Hills State, he also recorded 2.5 tackles for a loss and a pass break-up.

Jordan earns his first team nod on the defensive line after collecting Second-Team All-RMAC honors this season. On the year, Jordan recorded a total of 15 tackles in 11 games, including eight solo stops and had 4.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, four quarterback hurries, forced and recovered a fumble. He tallied at least one tackle in 10 of the 11 games he played in, including a season-high four tackles against Fort Lewis. Additionally, he scored a touchdown on a 64-yard fumble return in the season opener against South Dakota Mines.

Shaw earns first team honors as a defensive back after taking home First-Team All-RMAC honors in 2025 and earning honorable mention All-RMAC accolades in 2024. During the 2005 season, Shaw recorded a total of 46 tackles, including 28 solo stop and also had 0.5 tackle for a loss, five pass break-ups and one forced fumble. In addition, he picked off five passes, which was second-most in the RMAC and 15th nationally in Division II. Shaw's 10 passes defended were fifth in the RMAC as he averaged 0.83 per game. He tallied at least six tackles in four games and posted at least three tackles in 10 of the Pack's 12 games. Collected two of his five interceptions at Central Missouri and had six career interceptions in his two seasons with the Pack.

Fuller earned second team All-Colorado Team honors at quarterback after earning Second-Team All-RMC honors this season and also being an RMAC Offensive Player of the Week following the Chadron State game and earning two NFF Colorado Chapter Player of the Week accolades. On the season, Fuller led the RMAC in passing yards (3,471) and passing yards per game (289.3) and was second in passing touchdowns (32), points responsible for (204), points responsible for per game (17.0), and total offense (284.2). He is one of three quarterbacks in school history to throw for 5,000 career yards and 40 career touchdowns. Closed out his career as CSU Pueblo's single-season leader in total offense (3,410), pass attempts (466), pass completions (278), and passing yards (3,471), and was third in single-season TD passes (32) and tied for first in single-season touchdowns responsible for with 34. He completed 59.7 percent of his passes as he was 278-for-466 with six interceptions and 32 touchdown passes during the 2025 campaign. He also scored two rushing touchdowns and threw for 300 or more yards in a game five times, including a career-high 442 yards against Chadron State. In that game against Chadron State, Fuller set new single-game school records for pass attempts (66), pass completions (40), and total plays (74). He finished his Pack career sitting third in career passing yards (5,313), fourth in career total offense (5,223), third in career pass attempts (661), third in career pass completions (415), third in career touchdown passes (50) and fourth in career touchdowns responsible for (52).

Honeycutt, Jr., earned All-Colorado Second-Team honors at receiver after finishing the season with 29 receptions for 564 yards and was third on the team with six touchdown receptions. He averaged 19.4 yards per reception and 47.0 receiving yards per game. Honeycutt, Jr., earned Second-Team All-RMAC honors and had 13 plays of 20 or more yards, including catching an 88-yard pass for a touchdown at Western Colorado. That 88-yard pass play as the Pack's longest offensive play of the season. He tallied five games with 70 or more receiving yards, including a career-high 144-yard performance on three catches (a school record 48.0 yards per reception) at Western Colorado.

Dvorak repeats as a second team selection at tight end after catching 24 passes for 209 yards and averaged 8.7 yards per reception and had a long catch of 23 yards. In 2025, he earned First-Team All-RMAC honors and was an honorable mention All-RMAC selection in 2024. He had three or more catches in a game four times, including a season-high five catches in the regular season finale against Chadron State. Additionally, he caught three passes for 59 yards at Black Hills State. In his career, he played in 34 games and caught 74 passes for 674 yards and had seven career touchdown receptions and was a 2024 CSC Academic All-District selection and is a two-time RMC Football First-Team All-Academic honoree.

Manning earns his second team honor on the defensive line after leading the Pack in both tackles for a loss (8) and sacks (4.5), along with recording three quarterback hurries. The 2025 Honorable Mention All-RMAC selections played in and started all 12 games and finished the season with a total of 43 tackles, including 18 solo stops. He tallied four or more tackles in a game six times, including a season-high eight tackles at Mines. He had at least one tackle for a loss and a sack in three games.

Seidenberger earns a spot on the All-Colorado Second Team at linebacker after tallying 72 tackles, including 29 solo stops and added 4.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, three pass break-ups and three quarterback hurries. Seidenberger repeated as a Second-Team All-RMAC selection this season and is a three-time All-RMAC selection in his career, including earning RMAC Defensive Freshman of the Year honors in 2023. In 2025, he had nine or more tackles in a game five times, including a season-high 12 tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss at Central Missouri. He was second on the team in tackles in 2025 and is one of 20 players in school history with 200 or more career tackles.

Torrie earns second team All-Colorado Team honors at linebacker after leading the Pack in tackles this season with 81, including 37 solo stops and added four tackles for a loss, two sacks, three interceptions, three pass break-ups, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery. The Honorable Mention All-RMAC selection and two-time RMAC Defensive Player of the Week and NFF Colorado Chapter Player of the Week scored three defensive touchdowns on the season, including two in one game against Adams State. In that game against Adams State, he became just the fourth D-II player since the mid-1970s to score two defensive touchdowns in the same game as he returned a fumble 42 yards for a touchdown and added a 5-yard interception return for a score...He scored three defensive touchdowns this season, and that is the most for a Pack player in a season since Darius Williams returned three interceptions for scores in 2017. Torrie also returned an interception 49 yards for a score at Black Hills State. On the season, he has had six or more tackles in a game seven times, including a career-high 13 tackles at Colorado Mesa and had three games with double-digit tackles.

Mckaney, Jr., earns second team honors at defensive back after recording a total of 30 tackles, including 24 solo stops, along with one sack and one tackle for a loss. He also broke up six passes and blocked a kick during the 2025 season. Mckaney, Jr., was a two-time All-RMAC selection, including earning first team honors in 2025 and second team accolades in 2024. The Avondale, Ariz., native played in 45 games and made 43 career starts and tallied 93 career tackles, two tackles for a loss, 16 pass break-ups and picked off two career passes for a total of 18 passes defended, which ranks in the Top 20 all-time in program history.

Along with announcing the All-Colorado Football Teams and the Coach of the Year award winner, the NFF Colorado Chapter also announced its three other individual award winners for the 2025 season on Thursday. Western Colorado senior redshirt quarterback Drew Nash was named the Offensive Player of the Year, while Fort Lewis redshirt junior linebacker Jacob Penney was named the Defensive Player of the Year and Colorado State redshirt junior punter Bryan Hansen was the Special Teams Player of the Year.

The NFFCC awards program recognizes outstanding players from all 10 of Colorado's college football programs across Division I FBS, FCS, and Division II. The award winners will be honored at the organization's annual banquet in early 2026.
