Football Ranked No. 5, No. 7 in Latest AFCA Division II Coaches' and D2Football.com Media Polls

PUEBLO, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo football comes into Saturday's Senior Day game in the ThunderBowl with Chadron State to determine the 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference champion jumped one spot to No. 5 in the latest AFCA Division II Coaches' and remained ranked No. 7 D2Football.com polls that were released Monday. 

In this week's 11th national Division II football polls of the 2025 season, the ThunderWolves, who are sporting a 9-1 overall record and an 8-0 mark in the RMAC after its 41-34 overtime win this past Saturday at Mines, advanced one spot to No. 5 in the latest AFCA Division II Coaches' Poll presented by HUDL and remained at No. 7 in this week's D2Football.com Media Top 25 Poll.

The Pack received 635 points in this week's AFCA Coaches' Poll to sit 14 points in front of No. 6 Central Washington (9-1) and 55 points behind No. 4 Kutztown (Pa.) (10-0). 

CSU Pueblo, Chadron State and Western Colorado are the three RMAC schools ranked in both of this week's AFCA and D2Football.com polls. Besides the Pack in the AFCA poll, Western Colorado (8-2), who fell 27-24 in overtime on Saturday at Chadron State, fell seven spots to No. 18 and Chadron State (8-2) moves into the AFCA poll at No. 22 following its home overtime win over Western Colorado. In the D2Football.com poll, Western Colorado fell 13 spots to No. 22, while Chadron State jumps three spots to No. 19 this week. 

In this week's latest polls, the top four teams in each poll remained the same from last week as Ferris State (10-0) leads both polls at No. 1 as they earned 773 points and 29 first place votes in the AFCA poll, while Harding (10-0) remained at No. 2 in both polls as they earned 745 points and two first place votes in the AFCA poll and West Florida (9-0) remained No. 3 in the AFCA poll and the Argonauts are followed at No. 4 by Kutztown (Pa.) (10-0) at No. 4 and the Pack is at No. 5. 

Meanwhile, in the D2Football.com poll, Kutztown (Pa.) remains at No. 3 and is followed at No. 4 by West Florida and Pittsburg State remains ranked at No. 5.
 
CSU Pueblo will put its eight game overall win streak on the line this coming Saturday, Nov. 15 as they host nationally-ranked Chadron State for a 1:05 p.m. Senior Day game. The Pack enters the game having won 24 straight RMAC games dating to the 2023 season, which is currently the longest active conference win streak in Division II football and they have also won 15 straight road games dating to the 2023 season and that is also the longest active road win streak in Division II football.
