Football Remains Fourth in Latest NCAA Division II Super Region Four Rankings

Pack is One of Three RMAC Schools Listed in Third Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Thanks to its 41-34 come-from-behind overtime win at Colorado School of Mines this past Saturday, Colorado State University Pueblo remains ranked No. 4 in this week's third edition of the NCAA Division II Super Region Four rankings that were released Monday afternoon by the NCAA.

In this week's second iteration of the Super Region Four rankings, the ThunderWolves, who are 9-1 overall and 9-1 in the region following its win at Mines, are one of three teams ranked in the Top 10 this week from Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The NCAA Super Region Four consists of teams from the Great American Conference (GAC), Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA), the Lone Star Conference (LSC) and the RMAC.

The Pack are joined in this week's rankings by Chadron State (8-1 D-II, 8-1 in-region) at No. 6 and Western Colorado (8-2 D-II, 8-2 in-region) at No. 9. The Eagles moved up one spot from No. 7 to No. 6 this season following its 27-24 overtime win Saturday at home against Western Colorado.

Harding (10-0 D-II, 10-0 in-region) remains atop the rankings as the Bison have already clinched a playoff spot thanks to winning the GAC title. Central Washington (9-0 D-II, 9-0 in-region) stayed at No. 2 and Northwest Missouri State (9-1 D-II, 9-1 in-region) remained at No. 3 this week. Those two teams will look to win their respective conference titles this weekend as Central Washington plays at Western Oregon and Northwest Missouri plays Pittsburg State in a neutral site game in Kansas City, Mo.

The Pack is followed in the rankings by Pittsburg State (8-2 D-II, 7-1 in-region) at No. 5, while Chadron State, who plays at the Pack for the RMAC title on Saturday, is sixth and Western Oregon (7-1 D-II, 7-1 in-region) at No. 7. UT-Permian Basin (8-2 D-II, 8-2 in-region) is at No. 8, while Western Colorado fell to No. 9 this week and Southern Arkansas (7-3 D-II, 7-3 in-region) is at No. 10.

At the conclusion of the regular season, the four conference champions (Harding is the first conference champion) from each of the four conferences in the Super Region and the four highest ranked teams (non-conference champions) in the final Super Region 4 rankings will earn a spot in the NCAA Division II Playoffs. The NCAA will announce the 2025 Division II Playoff selections on www.NCAA.com on Sunday, Nov. 16.

The NCAA Division II Playoffs will consist of 32 teams (16 automatic conference champion qualifiers and 16 at-large teams - four per region) across four regions with the top four teams in the region being seeded. The first round of the playoffs is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22. The national semifinals are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 13 with the championship game scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 20 in McKinney, Texas. The semifinals and finals will be broadcast on one of the ESPN broadcast networks.

The nationally sixth-ranked Pack will put its eight-game win streak on the line this coming Saturday, Nov. 15 as they host 22nd-ranked Chadron State for a 1 p.m. Senior Day game in the ThunderBowl. The Pack enters the game having won 24 straight conference games, which is the longest active conference win streak in Division II football.
