Johnson and Honeycutt named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Chick-fil-A

PUEBLO, Colo. (November 6, 2025) - Colorado State University Pueblo's Carlia Johnson (R-Sr., The Valley, Anguilla) and Marcellus Honeycutt (So., Aurora, Colo.) have been named Pack Student-Athletes of the Week, presented by Chick-fil-A.

Johnson led Pack women's soccer to clinch a spot in the 2025 RMAC Tournament after leading the Pack to a 1-1-1 week, including scoring a 1-1 draw against No. 7 Mines in a must-win match in the regular season finale.

She totaled seven points and scored three goals and an assist in three games. Over the final week of the regular season, Johnson fired three SOG and scored the game-winning goal in the Pack's 4-2 win at New Mexico Highlands.

Following Wednesday's result, the ThunderWolves secured the 8-seed in the upcoming RMAC Tournament and will face 7-seed Adams State on Friday at 2 p.m. in the RMAC Tournament First Round at ASU Soccer Field in Alamosa.

On the men's side, Honeycutt had a career-day for Pack football as he led the No. 7 ThunderWolves in a come-from-behind 24-21 win at previously undefeated and No. 6-ranked Western Colorado. He caught three passes for a career-high 144 yards and hauled in an 88-yard touchdown pass with 9:18 left in the third quarter to pull the Pack within 21-14.

The 88-yard touchdown reception is the longest offensive play this season for the Pack and the second-longest pass reception this season in the RMAC.

Honeycutt averaged 48.0 yards per reception, and also had a 49-yard catch in teh game in Saturday's win. Those two receptions were two of the three longest pass receptions this season.
