PUEBLO, Colo. - The Colorado State University Pueblo volleyball team extended its winning streak to six matches on Friday night, powering past Regis University in straight sets (25–13, 25–18, 25–15) at Massari Arena. Though the Rangers are a fellow RMAC program, the contest was played as a non-conference regional pod matchup.
The ThunderWolves (10–4 overall) came out sharp in the opening frame, hitting .387 as a team while limiting Regis to a .148 clip. CSU Pueblo never looked back, using an efficient attack and a stout defensive effort to control all three sets.
Offensively, Finja Schul and Golden Finch combined for nine kills apiece, while Elena Stankovic added eight kills and a team-high .600 hitting percentage. Caelyn Gunn chipped in seven kills and nine digs, balancing her effort on both sides of the net. Setter Chinaru Inoue directed the offense with 22 assists, and libero Megan Mattingly anchored the defense with 16 digs.
At the net, the Pack out-blocked Regis 7.0 to 6.0, with Stankovic and Finch teaming up for key stops. CSU Pueblo also won the serve-and-pass battle, registering six aces and maintaining a strong .945 reception percentage.
With the win, CSU Pueblo improves to 10–4 on the season while staying perfect at 4–0 against RMAC competition. Regis drops to 1–12 overall.
The Pack return to conference play Tuesday night, clashing with Colorado Christian in a duel for solo first place in the RMAC standings.
