GREENWOOD, Ind. – Eight football players from Colorado State University Pueblo have been named to the College Sports Communicators' (formally known as CoSIDA-College Sports Information Directors of America) NCAA Division II Academic All-District Team that was announced Tuesday by the organization.

The eight Pack football players selected to the CSC Academic All-District Team were junior tight end Tyler Dvorak (Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek), sophomore offensive lineman Tyler Ethridge (Midlothian, Texas/Midlothian), sophomore kicker Evan Lyons (Superior, Colo./Monarch), senior linebacker Jon Nuschy (La Junta, Colo./Northern Colorado), junior receiver Zack Rakowsky (Loveland, Colo./Loveland), sophomore defensive lineman Jusiah Sampleton (Giddings, Texas/Giddings), sophomore linebacker Gary Seidenberger (Fredericksburg, Texas/Fredericksburg) and sophomore linebacker Miles Sprague (Holyoke, Colo./Holyoke). Nuschy and Rakowsky are repeat Academic All-District selections from last season.

In order to be eligible for selection under the new criteria for the 2023-24 school year, student-athletes must have a 3.50 or higher GPA. They must have also either played in 90 percent of the team's games or start at least 66 percent of the team's games. In addition, transfers are now eligible, unlike in previous years and schools were limited to a total of eight nominations.

Three of CSU Pueblo's eight Academic All-District selections have also been selected for advancement to the national ballot for Academic All-American honors, which will be voted on by CSC Division II membership. Those three Pack players advancing the national ballot are Nuschy, Rakowsky and Seidenberger. The Division II CSC Academic All-America Football Team will be announced on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025.

Jusiah Sampleton – 3.83 cumulative GPA, Exercise Science
Gary Seidenberger – 3.50 cumulative GPA, Construction Management
Miles Sprague – 3.65 cumulative GPA, Pre-Business

Last year, Rakowsky became CSU Pueblo's 18th football player to earn CSC Academic All-American honors as he was named a Second-Team Academic All-American.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
