ALAMOSA, Colo. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Volleyball squad improved to 2-0 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play after defeating Adams State University on the road three games to one.
With the win, the ThunderWolves improve to 2-0 in conference play and 7-3 overall, while Adams State falls to 0-2 in RMAC play, and 2-9 overall.
Sadie Scoville (Pleasant Grove, Utah/Pleasant Grove) led the way for the Pack in kills with 15, while
Kaitlyn Hall (Colorado Springs, Colo/Falcon) had 12.Â
Hallie Hewlett (Bountiful, Utah/Bountiful) led the squad in assists with 23, while
Braelyn Woodworth (Gilbert, Ariz./Perry) anchored the defense with 16 kills.Â
ABOUT THE WIN
CSU Pueblo cruised to victory in the first set, taking it easily 25-17, as Scoville and Hall each had three kills in the set.
CSU Pueblo took an early 4-1 lead to set the early tone.Â
Adams State responded well tying the game at 10-10, but that is when the Pack put their foot on the gas.
CSU Pueblo went on a 5-1 run with kills from Hall and Scoville to put the lead at 15-11, and Adams State was never able to respond.
The Grizzlies responded in the second set, with a 25-22 win over the Pack.Â
Hadleigh Richardson hit .364 in the set and had four kills to propel Adams State in the set.Â
The ThunderWolves threw the next punch, responding in the third 25-22, to regain control of the match.
CSU Pueblo took an early 9-4 lead, and eventually extended their lead to six at 19-13, but Adams responded, getting the score as close as 22-20.

The Pack put away the Grizzlies in the fourth and final set, winning 25-21.Â
Once again CSU Pueblo opened up with a 9-4 lead, which Adams State was never able to recover from.
CSU Pueblo had a 19-13 lead, and held off a mini Adams State run, in which the score did get to 22-20, but the ThunderWolves finished with kills from
Macy Wood (Sandy, Utah/Alta), Scoville, and a service ace from Hewlett.
