CSU Pueblo Athletics Announces Football Kickoff Time Change for Saturday's Colorado Mesa Game

Game Will Now Kickoff at 11:02 A.M. in CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl

PUEBLO, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo Athletics has announced that the kickoff for its home Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference football game this Saturday, Sept. 21 with Colorado Mesa University has been pushed up three hours to 11:02 a.m. MT in the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl.

The change in kickoff time was necessitated due to a forecast that calls for rain and thunderstorms in the Pueblo area throughout the afternoon on Saturday. The game was originally scheduled for kickoff at 2:02 p.m. MT.

The No. 22nd-ranked Pack comes into Saturday's game sporting a 2-1 overall record and a 1-0 mark in the RMAC following its 24-21 home setback last Saturday to then No. 3 ranked Grand Valley State, while Colorado Mesa, who received a vote in this week's AFCA Division II Coaches Poll, enters the game with a 1-1 overall record after suffering a 28-12 loss at home last Saturday to then 13th-ranked Central Washington.

With the change in game time for Saturday's game, the gates to the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl will open at 9 a.m. and the Pack Club Hospitality Tailgate, which is held on the roof of the Leomiti Warrior Center inside the CSU Pueblo ThunderBowl, will now also begin at 9 a.m.

Saturday's game day sponsors are Canvas Credit Union and UCHealth and it will also be Band Day on the CSU Pueblo campus.

Saturday's game with Colorado Mesa will cap a three-game homestand for the Pack that began with a 43-20 win two weeks ago over then 21st-ranked UT Permian Basin and then continued with last weekend's contest with Grand Valley State.
