Volleyball Drops First Match of 2024 Season, Falls at San Francisco State

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The Colorado State University Pueblo volleyball team suffered their first loss of the season, falling in three sets to San Francisco State University.

With the loss, the Pack fall to 4-1 on the season, while the Gators improve to 2-2 on the year. The Pack will travel to Cal State East Bay to play the conclusion of the tournament in Hayward, Calif. 

SFSU had three girls with double-digit kills, while the Pack struggled to get things going on the offensive end.

The ThunderWolves dropped set one 25-18, set two 25-16, and set three 25-21.

Sadie Scoville (Pleasant Grove, Utah/Pleasant Grove) led the way for the Pack with eight kills, while Sabrina King (Parker, Colo./Lutheran) and Hallie Hewlett (Bountiful, Utah/Bountiful) both recorded 11 assists.

CSU Pueblo is back in action tomorrow as they take on Sonoma State University at 10:00 AM MST, and Cal State East Bay at 8:00 PM MST.
