BROOMFIELD, Colo. - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's golf team won the season opener at the Swan Memorial in Broomfield, Colo.
The Back to Back Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Champions pick up right where they left off last season. The Pack played a tough spring schedule and managed to win twice, including an RMAC Title.Â
CSU Pueblo was just one spot out of qualifying for the NCAA Division II National Championship one season ago at the NCAA West Regional.
Fifth-year grad transfer
Alyssa McMillen led the way for the ThunderWolves in her debut for the Pack, shooting rounds of 70-73 to finish second overall in the tournament with a score of one under par.
Anju Ogi (Arvada, Colo./Arvada West) had a great second day for the Pack, firing a one under par round (71) to finish her week at two over (75-71) and a fifth place finish.
The steady Scotswoman
Freya Constable (Edinburgh, Scotland) was reliable as ever, shooting rounds of 73-74 to finish the week at three over par, finishing in sixth place.
Reigning RMAC Freshman of the Year,
Lisa Ekberg (Kungsbacka, Sweden) had a great second day as well, as the Swede bounced back from an opening round 77, with a final round of one-under 71.Â

Yale Lee (New Malden, England) concluded her first collegiate event with a bang, bouncing back from an opening round 77, with a fine round of even-par 72.
The Pack also played two individuals, as
Zoey Rodriguez (Pueblo, Colo./Pueblo South) shot rounds of 76-75, while freshaman
Sinead Ni Cheilleachair (Tullamore, Ireland) shot rounds of 82-82 in her college debut.
