NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) named four CSU Pueblo women's lacrosse players to its 2024 Division II Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday afternoon. Those four were one of 524 student-athletes honored from 72 different Division II institutions this year on the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.
CSU Pueblo's four honored student-athletes were junior attacker
Annabelle Hollandbeck (Brownsburg, Ind./Brownsburg), junior goalie
Naomi Price-Burton (Aurora, Colo./Grandview), graduate student attacker
Sedona Sargent (Bellingham, Wash./Sehome) and senior defender
Paige Scarbrough (El Cajon, Calif./Helix Charter).
In order to be eligible for the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater at the end of the 2023-24 academic year.
The Pack's four honored women's lacrosse players recorded a combined cumulative GPA of 3.71 as Hollandbeck carries a 3.858 GPA in Art, while Price-Burton holds a 3.53 GPA in Criminology, Sargent posted a GPA of 3.94 and Scarbrough has a GPA of 3.51.
CSU Pueblo was one of three RMAC schools to have student-athletes named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll as the Pack were joined by Colorado Mesa, who had seven players recognized and Regis, who had 13 players honored.
It marks the second time that Sargent has been named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll as she was recognized in 2022. In addition, it also marks the first time since 2021 that CSU Pueblo has had at least four student-athletes recognized by the IWLCA. In 2021, the Pack had five players named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.
