Pack Led 9-6 Early in Fourth Period Against Skyhawks

DURANGO, Colo. – Colorado State University women's lacrosse saw its three goal fourth period lead evaporate here on a snowy and windy Saturday afternoon as the ThunderWolves fell 10-9 to Fort Lewis in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference action at Ray Dennison Stadium.

With the setback, the Pack drops its fifth straight game as its record falls to 2-7 overall and 0-5 in the RMAC, while Fort Lewis improves to 2-7 overall and 1-4 in the RMAC. The Pack were outshot, 37-23, but led 7-2 at the half and held a 9-6 lead following a goal by freshman midfielder Reese Wasmund (Portland, Ore./West Linn) on a free position shot just 102 seconds into the fourth period. The Skyhawks, though, rallied as they scored three goals in a span two-plus minutes to tie the game at 9-all and then used an unassisted goal by Ellie Martinez with 1:11 left in the game to take a 10-9 lead.
