LIBURN, Ga. - The Women's Basketball Coaches Association along with the Division II CIDA announced on Tuesday afternoon that senior forward
Alisha Little (Aurora, Colo./Northern Colorado) is the Week Four Division II National Player of the Week.
Little is named the player of the week after a dominant weekend, in which she averaged 33 points per game, 10 rebounds, seven steals, and five blocks, leading Colorado State University Pueblo to a 2-0 weekend, defeating Haskell Indians Nation on Friday night, and Northern New Mexico on Saturday evening.
On Friday night versus Haskell Indians Nation, Little tied her career-high with 35 points on 13-21 shooting, while also pulling down 10 boards, blocking six shots, and recording eight steals.Â
Friday night was also a historic night for Little, as she became the school's all-time leader in career blocked shots, passing Molly Rohrer, who blocked 207 shots in her career.Â
In addition with her 35 points, Little moved into 10th place all-time in scoring at CSU Pueblo with 1,205 points. Little is now one of 10 players in program history to score 1,200 or more career points. She is just 361 points shy of Nadia Fercha's school record of 1,597 points.
Little followed up Friday night's performance with another virtuoso performance on Saturday.Â
On Saturday, she led the Pack to a cruising 75-46 victory over Northern New Mexico, recording 31 points, 10 rebounds, six steals, and four blocks.Â
Little's historic weekend also had her become just the seventh player in Colorado Women's Basketball history to record 2,000 points. She also leads the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and is sixth in NCAA Division II in scoring with 22.6 ppg. She is also second in the nation in blocks per game.
