PUEBLO, Colo. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Volleyball Team got back in the win collum on Friday Night, defeating Western Colorado University three games to one.
With the win, the ThunderWolves improve to 14-9 overall, and 7-4 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play, sitting on the doorsteps of moving up in the league. With the loss for the Mountaineers, they fall to 11-14 overall, and 6-6 in conference play.
CSU Pueblo remains in fifth place, but only sit one game back of third. The top four teams in the RMAC host in the conference tournament.Â
The Pack welcomed back their All-American
Sadie Scoville (Pleasant Grove, Utah/Pleasant Grove), and did she ever make an entrance. Scoville led the way in three categories for the Pack, as she had 16 kills, two aces, and 16 digs.Â
Hallie Hewlett (Bountiful, Utah/Bountiful) recorded a career-high 27 assists on Friday Night, as the freshman continues to be a force for the ThunderWolves.
ABOUT THE MATCH
The ThunderWolves controlled the momentum for most of the match, only dropping the second set, against a red hot Western Colorado squad, who had won six out of their last seven matches.
CSU Pueblo won the first set 25-19, dropped the second set 25-22, bounced back in the third 25-20, and put away the Mountaineers in the final set 25-19.
