DENVER, Colo. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Volleyball squad concluded their regular season with a 3-0 loss on the road at the hands of Regis University.
With the loss, the ThunderWolves fall to 16-10 overall on the season, and 9-5 in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play.Â
With the win for Regis, they improve to 13-13 overall on the season, and 9-5 in RMAC play.
Regis will be the No. 4 seed in the RMAC Tournament, while CSU Pueblo will be the No. 5 seed in the tournament, traveling to Denver once again to take on Regis.
Rayliene Joens (Elkhorn, Neb./Winona State) led the way on the offensive end for the ThunderWolves with 10 kills, while
Kendall Schmitz (Lee's Summit, Mo./Arkansas-Fort Smith) led the way in assists with 18.Â
Golden Finch (Albuquerque, N.M./Cal State Bakersfield) anchored the defense with three blocks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Pack dropped the opening set 25-17, and had their chance to even the match at one game apiece in the second set, leading 23-18 but could not hold the lead, eventually falling 25-23.
Down two game to none, with the second set taking the life out of the Pack, CSU Pueblo could not find a way to extend the match, dropping the third and final set 25-19.Â
