Little Leads ThunderWolves To Home Weekend Sweep

PUEBLO, Colo. - The Colorado State University Pueblo Women's Basketball squad completed a perfect weekend in the ThunderWolves Classic, defeating Missouri Western State University on Saturday evening 75-61.

With the win, the ThunderWolves improve to 2-2 on the season, while the Griffons fall to 2-2 on the season.

Alisha Little (Aurora, Colo./Northern Colorado) led the way once again for the Pack, leading the way with 28 points and 13 rebounds, once again recording double-doubles like it is a walk in the park.

Shamahra Henderson (Denver, Colo./Cowley County) had an impressive game for the ThunderWolves, locking down on the defensive end, and scoring 14 points on 5-10 shooting.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The ThunderWolves fell behind early in the first, trailing as many as eight, but cut the lead down to four at the end of the first at 21-17.

Missouri Western continued their hot first half start, extending their lead to 10 at 30-20, however the Pack once again made a run behind threes from Yara Garcia (Scottsbluff, Neb./Western Nebraska), and Landri Hudson (Aurora, Colo./Wyoming).

The Griffons eventually took a four point lead into the break at 32-28.

CSU Pueblo opened up the second half on a 7-3 run, sparked by Little, Henderson, and Brynae Stewart (Colorado Springs, Colo/Pine Creek).

The Pack retook the lead at 36-35 with a layup from Little, never looking back from that point.

The Pack eventually took a 51-47 lead going into the fourth quarter.

CSU Pueblo did not take their foot off the gas in the final frame, eventually taking a 60-47 lead to open the quarter, never looking back, eventually winning 75-61.
