GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Colorado State University Pueblo women's lacrosse concluded its two-game road trip to open Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play here Sunday by suffering a 20-5 setback to 24th-ranked Colorado Mesa at C.H. Unity Field.

With the setback, the ThunderWolves fall to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the RMAC, while Colorado Mesa improves to 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the RMAC.

Sargent's goal made the score, 17-2 in Mesa's favor. Mesa would add two more goals in the period to take a 19-2 lead heading into the final period of play.

The Pack would outscore the Mavs. 3-1, in the fourth period to set the final margin. The Pack goals in the period were scored by Broom, freshmen midfielders Katie Schimpf (Edmonds, Wash./Edmonds Woodway) and Elise Magee (Port Moody, British Columbia/Dr. Charles Best Secondary).

Broom and Sargent each took five shots for the Pack and they combined for five of the Pack's 10 shots on goal in the game. Broom, Mee and senior defender Jillian Kelly (Pueblo, Colo./Centennial) each had three ground balls for the Pack.
