LAKEWOOD, Colo. (November 11, 2023) - The Colorado State University Pueblo women's basketball team dropped a 71-60 decision against Lubbock Christian on Saturday's second day of the South Central Region Crossover inside the Colorado Christian Event Center.
Leilani Love (Fr., Albuquerque, NM) finished tied with a game-high 24 points and brought down seven rebounds for the ThunderWolves. She finished 8-for-10 from the field and recorded a pair of steals.
Ending her night with 12 points and six rebounds,
Alisha Little (R-Jr., Aurora, Colo.) shot 4-of-13 from the field and was 4-of-6 from the free throw line.
The ThunderWolves out rebounded the Lady Chaparrals 38-34 and ended with ten steals.
CSU Pueblo was down 19-10 after the first quarter and shot 15.4% on 2-of-13 from the field and was 0-for-5 from three-point land.
For LCU, they finished with three players in double-figures and Grace Foster and Maci Maddox totaled 24 and 20 points, respectively.
At halftime, CSU Pueblo trailed 40-27.
In the second half, the Pack's offense found their stride and made 7-of-15 including 1-of-4 from beyond the arc, scoring 16 points in the third.
The Pack continued to hit their shots and outscored LCU 17-14 in the final quarter.
The ThunderWolves finished the game shooting 35.5% and was 2-of-11 from behind the 3-point line.
CSU Pueblo (1-3) returns home next week to begin the home slate and will play New Mexico Highlands on Friday at 5 p.m. and will face Langston on Saturday at 3 p.m., both games inside Massari Arena.
