The game started off fast in favor of Colorado Mesa and the ThunderWolves were unable to stop the bombardment of attacks. Maddie Miller and Baylee Mee were able to cause a couple of turnovers early, but the Mavericks stilled rattled off 10 goals in the opening quarter to put the Pack in an early 10-0 hole.

Colorado Mesa continued its offensive assault on the Pack. In the second quarter, the Mavericks were able to score five more goals while the ThunderWolves were once again held scoreless. Headed into the break, CSU Pueblo trailed 15-0.

Exiting the halftime break, the Pack looked to stand tough on the defensive side. Izzy Ehlich was able to log a caused turnover while Caira Lessick pulled in a couple of draw controls. Despite the tougher defense in the third quarter, Colorado Mesa was still able to extend its lead to 18-0 headed into the final frame.

In the beginning of the fourth, Jacqueline DeAndrea picked up a ground ball and helped the Pack make a clear to put the ball in position for the Pack. Ashley Hendricks took matters into her own hands and netted her 20th goal of the season to put the Pack on the board. The goal gave the ThunderWolves some life on offense and reenergized the squad.

Despite some ground balls from Jillian Kelly, Mee and DeAndrea, the Pack were unable to dig into the deficit. The Mavericks netted three more goals and sealed the ThunderWolves' fate 21-1 in Grand Junction.

Mee led the squad with five draw controls and caused a turnover along with Miller and Ehlich. Mee and Deandrea also led the Pack with three ground balls while Hendricks netted the lone Pack goal off a team-high six shots and three on-goal.
