GUNNISON, Colo. (Oct. 8, 2022) - The Colorado State University Pueblo volleyball team set a new season-high in hitting percentage after taking down Western Colorado University 3-1 (25-22, 25-15, 20-25, 25-22) Saturday at WCU's Paul Wright Gym.
The ThunderWolves recorded a .405 hitting percentage and freshman
Sadie Scoville set a new career-high 15 kills and earned a .520 hitting mark after committing just two errors on twenty-five total attempts.
Payton Van Veen slammed 14 kills of her own and CSU Pueblo tallied 62 kills in the four set match.
Defensively,
Jazzy Espinoza finished with eight blocks at the net.
Sabrina King set a new career-high with 27 helpers and recorded her first block of the season during match point.
Elaine Thibadeau and
Hannah Delor finished with 14 and 13 digs, respectively.
CSU Pueblo (15-3, 8-2 RMAC) will stay on the road next week and play Friday at Westminster before closing out the road trip Saturday at Colorado Mesa.
