SPEARFISH, S.D. (Oct. 29, 2022) - The Colorado State University Pueblo volleyball team returned to the win column following a decisive 3-0 (25-11, 25-13, 25-15) victory Saturday at Black Hills State.
The ThunderWolves recorded a .359 hitting percentage and earned eight service aces in the win.Â
Payton Van Veen led all players with 12 kills against one error, good for a .688 hitting mark. Freshman
Sadie Scoville recorded nine kills and defensively,
Jazzy Espinoza finished with four blocks at the net.
The Pack faced little challenges in the match as they controlled serve for much of the match. Scoville led the team with three service aces and
Megan Mattingly chipped in with two of her own.
At the setter position, the duo of
Grace Hern and
Sabrina King ended with 16 and 18 assists, respectively.
CSU Pueblo (18-6, 11-5 RMAC) returns home for the final homestand of the regular season. The ThunderWolves host Colorado Christian Friday and No. 1 MSU Denver on Saturday, both matches will start at 7 p.m. inside Massari Arena.
