ALAMOSA, Colo. (April 9, 2021) – The Colorado State University Pueblo women's lacrosse team secured the program's second ever shutout Friday in a 19-0 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference road win at Adams State University.

The last time the ThunderWolves (3-4, 1-1 RMAC) blanked an opponent was when they defeated ASU 20-0 in 2019.Â

The Pack put 30 of their 40 shots on goal, while allowing just six total shots and three on frame. CSU Pueblo totaled 41 ground balls and forced 17 turnovers by the Grizzlies (0-4, 0-4 RMAC).

Twelve different players registered a point, while seniorÂ
Emily Eller (A, Keller, Texas) led the team in points with two goals and three assists.Â

"Today was a great team win and we were able to rotate out and give every player some time on the field," said CSU Pueblo Head CoachÂ
Monica Potter. "Our bench players capitalized on their opportunities by getting assists, draw controls and goals. I'm very proud of everyone for coming together after a couple of challenging games."

PLAYER PERFORMANCES
Seven players recorded multi-point games. SeniorÂ
Olivia Tener (M, Boise, Id.) had three goals and an assist. She also picked up three ground balls.Â

FreshmanÂ
Caira Lessick (M, Oregon City, Ore.) recorded a hat trick for the second straight game. She added an assist and had five ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Baylee Mee (M, Reno, Nev.) scored once and dished out two assists. She led the team with eight ground balls.Â

Off the bench, freshmanÂ
Samantha Schmidt (M, Littleton, Colo.) not only netted her first collegiate goal, but scored a hat trick.Â

Nya Duvall (A, Graham, Wash.) also scored for the first time at the college level and she dished out an assist.Â

Gracie Anderson (Fr., M, Newberg, Ore.) added two goals on her two shots.Â

Ane Marie Horton (G, Long Beach, Calif.) made three saves in 38:41 of play time, while freshmanÂ
Skyla Yoho (Fair Oaks, Calif.) made her collegiate debut and played in 21:19. She didn't face a shot on frame.Â

By the 10-minute mark of the first half the Pack led 4-0 with two goals from Eller. Lessick's third goal of the game came with 7:49 remaining in the first half and put the Pack ahead 9-0.Â

Duvall scored with 7:28 left, then Tener found the back of the net twice to give the ThunderWolves a 12-0 lead at the half.Â

Anderson got the second half scoring going just 3:14 into the frame and with 20 minutes remaining the road team was ahead 15-0.Â

Schmidt scored the final two goals for the Pack, as the ThunderWolves were victorious, 19-0.Â

The ThunderWolves were scheduled to continue west to play Fort Lewis College April 11, but the game was postponed due to COVID-19 testing and protocols. CSU Pueblo will now turn their attention to hosting Colorado Mesa University April 16 at 4 p.m.
