PUEBLO, Colo. (March 20, 2021) - The Colorado State University Pueblo baseball team lost 9-5 in the series finale with Colorado School of Mines Sunday, but came away with a 3-1 weekend against the Orediggers. The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference series was at Rawlings Field after switching sites from Golden due to weather.Â
CSU Pueblo (6-10, 4-8 RMAC) allowed six runs in the first inning and it would prove to be enough for Mines to earn the victory. The ThunderWolves scored single runs across five innings and just couldn't put together a big inning to match the Oredigger output in the first.Â
Mines scored the six runs on two hits and was aided by one Pack error. The ThunderWolves totaled eight hits, but registered five errors and left seven on base.Â
Logan Gibbons (Sr., Taylorsville, Utah) was the only member of the ThunderWolves to produce two hits, as he went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. His double was the only extra base hit for the Pack.
CSU Pueblo is scheduled to take to the road March 26-28 for an RMAC pod. They will play two games each with Metro State University of Denver and Colorado Christian University. MSU Denver will serve as the hosts.Â
