GOLDEN, Colo. (January 29, 2021) - For the second straight game, Colorado State University Pueblo Women's Basketball gave one of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference's best teams all they could handle. In the end, Colorado School of Mines pulled away from the Pack in a 61-50 win.
Turning Point:
The ThunderWolves (1-7, 1-7 RMAC) led 13-10 after one, but the Orediggers (10-2, 9-2 RMAC) started the second quarter on a 16-2 run. The Pack answered closing the first half on an 11-0 run to tie it at 26 entering the break.
The two teams remained close throughout the third quarter with the Orediggers carrying a one-point lead into the fourth. In the fourth, Mines led 45-44 with 7:41 remaining when an offensive foul was called on the Pack. After this, the Orediggers went on a 13-2 run thanks to seven Pack turnovers, leading them to the win. The Pack turned it over a season-high 26 times.
Individual Highlights:
- Sydni Williams (Sr., Little Rock, Ark.) scored 12 points. Williams did most of her damage at the free throw line, making 7-of-8. She added six rebounds, a block, and two steals.
- Jazzy Hughes (Sr., Tucson, Ariz.) shared the team lead with 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field. Hughes went 3-of-4 at the line.

Kansas Watts (Jr., Houston, Texas) had a career-high four steals. Watts scored three points on the offensive end.

Andrea Nelson (So., Pueblo, Colo.) tacked on nine points. Nelson had three rebounds all of which came on the offensive glass.

JaNaiya Davis (Jr., Waco, Texas) dished out five assists before fouling out with 7:41 left in the game. Davis went 3-for-4 from the field.

Notes:
- The Orediggers did not miss a single free throw, going a perfect 17-for-17 from the line. The Pack made 17-of-21 (81.0 percent).
- Mines outrebounded the Pack 32-30. Seventeen of the Orediggers rebounds came on the offensive glass.
