PUEBLO, Colo. (January 22, 2021) - Down 14 in the fourth quarter, Colorado State University Pueblo Women's Basketball rallied within five but fell to Fort Lewis College 57-52 Friday at Massari Arena.
Turning Point:
The ThunderWolves (1-5, 1-5 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) struggled shooting from the field in the first half, making 27.6 percent from range. This allowed the Skyhawks (4-4, 4-4 RMAC) to hold a 31-20 advantage at halftime.
Trailing 49-35 in the fourth quarter, the Pack went on a 15-5 run to climb back within five at 55-50 with 1:11 left. The Skyhawks held the ball and made one last lay up with 28 seconds left to secure a 57-52 win.
Individual Highlights:
- Sydni Williams (Sr., Little Rock, Ark.) sparked the Pack's offense with a season-high 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field. She finished 6-of-8 from the line. Williams also secured eight rebounds and added a block. Four of Williams' eight boards came on the offensive glass.
- Aubriana Noti (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) earned her first double-double of the season. Noti scored 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field. She went 4-of-6 from the line. Noti also pulled down 13 rebounds, the most by a ThunderWolf this season. She swatted two blocks on the defensive end.

JaNaiya Davis (Jr., Waco, Texas) netted four points. Davis also pulled down 10 rebounds. The RMAC Defensive Player of the Week led the Pack with four steals.

Tommie Johnson. "Defensively, We didn't really turn it on until the fourth quarter. Just a victim of slow starts and we just got to be better."
Notes:
- The Pack outrebounded the Skyhawks 42-29. They limited Fort Lewis to just four attempts from the charity stripe, the lowest number of attempts allowed by a Pack team since Feb. 27, 2018 against South Dakota Mines.
- The ThunderWolves made 53.85 percent of their shots in the fourth quarter going 7-for-13 from the field.
