PUEBLO, Colo. (January 24, 2020) -  A cold-shooting Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Basketball could not overcome South Dakota School of Mines Saturday as the ThunderWolves lost to the Hardrockers 71-47 Friday at Massari Arena.
 
CSU-Pueblo made just 29.2 percent from the field. The Hardrockers made 43.9 percent from the field including eight 3-pointers. The Pack made just two 3-pointers.
 
JaNaiya Davis (So., Hewitt, Texas) finished with 17 points on 7-of-19 shooting. Davis had four steals.
 
Both Jade Adams (Jr., Falcon, Colo.) and Sydni Williams (Jr., Little Rock, Ark) had two blocks. Williams had a team-high eight rebounds. Adams had three offensive rebounds.
 
Khiya Adams (Sr., Falcon, Colo.) added nine points. She had six rebounds.
 
Five consecutive points for the Hardrockers gave them a 14-8 lead after one. They continued this run with the first four points in the second quarter that made their lead double digits. Although the Pack cut the lead to four, the Hardrockers rebuilt the lead to 11, carrying a 31-20 edge into the break.
 
The Pack won the third quarter 16-15 to make it 46-36. The Hardrockers turned it on in the fourth with a 14-point run that gave them a 67-43. advantage They rolled to a 71-47 win.
 
The ThunderWolves will look to get back in the win column Saturday when they face Black Hills State University. The final game of the Pack's four-game homestand tips off at 5:30 p.m.
