Pack sputters in final non-conference test

CANYON, Texas (November 30, 2019) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Basketball could not upset West Texas A&M University as the ThunderWolves fell 75-46 in the Pak-A-Sak WT Thanksgiving Classic.
 
JaNaiya Davis (So., Hewiit, Texas) led the Pack with 16 points. Davis drained 7-of-14 from he field.
 
Khiya Adams (Sr., Falcon, Colo.) finished with 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting. Adams went 4-for-4 from the line. Her sister Jade Adams (Jr., Falcon, Colo.) led the Pack with eight rebounds.
 
Kansas Watts (So., Houston, Texas) totaled a season-high 10 points. Watts had a block and a steal.
 
The Lady Buffs seized control of the game early. They used a 16-0 run to take a 23-7 lead after one. West Texas continued to pour it on in the second quarter outscoring the Pack 19-7 to carry a 42-14 lead into the half.
 
The ThunderWolves kept pace with the Lady Buffs in the second half. West Texas outscored the Pack just 20-19 in the third. The Pack tied the Lady Buffs with 13 points in the fourth quarter, but the Pack could not gain ground as West Texas won 75-46.
 
CSU-Pueblo wrapped up non-conference play 1-4. The Pack will begin Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play Friday, Dec. 6 when they travel to Adams State University. Tip off between the Pack and Grizzlies is set for 5:30 p.m.
