Last time on the Pitch
The ThunderWolves picked up two wins on the road at Black Hills State and at Regis. At BHSU, the ThunderWolves came away with a 3-2 win. The Pack received scores from Laikyn Koss (Sr., Riverside, Calif.), Justine Martinez (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.) and Mackenzie Bean (Sr., Bothell, Wash.).
Koss scored the game's first goal in the 10' on a through ball that was placed high and out of the reach of the goalkeeper.
Martinez notched her first goal of the year in the 30th minute, taking a pass from Hannah Andresen (Sr., Arvada, Colo.) and hitting the back of the net.
In the 62', Bean scored her sixth goal of the season and what proved to be the game winner against the Yellow Jackets.
Sunday at Regis, after giving up an early goal to the Rangers, CSU-Pueblo responded goals from Cara Siegel (So., Pueblo, Colo.) and Koss.
Siegel's unassisted score came in the 49th as she dribbled 1v1 with her defender and shot from just outside the 18-yard box to even the score at 1-1.
Koss recorded her third game-winning goal of the year with less than seven minutes to go in regulation to secure the win for the Pack.
