Pack drop 3-0 decision at Westminster

SALT LAKE CITY (October 25, 2015) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team fell 3-0 against Westminster College Sunday in Salt Lake City.

The ThunderWolves, coming off a loss Friday against Colorado Mesa, opened the contest finding their legs and energy early, matching the physical play of the Griffins.

Westminster broke the scoreless tie with one second remaining on the clock in the first half, netting a shot from 30 yards out and one goal lead at halftime.

Both teams combined for five shots in the first period and zero corner kick attempts.

The Griffins added to its lead in under ten minutes into the second half with a rebounded shot into the net.

Four Pack players fired a shot with three on goal in the contest.

Westminster extended the lead in the 65th minute off a corner kick headed into the goal.

The ThunderWolves dropped consecutive games for the first time in eight outings.

CSU-Pueblo (7-7-2, 3-5-1 RMAC) finish the regular season with a postseason berth still in sight, currently sitting in a tie in the conference standings with ten conference points and two games remaining.

Friday the ThunderWolves play at Regis in a conference battle, kickoff is set for 3 p.m..

The Rangers have clinched a spot in the RMAC Tournament.

The Pack conclude the regular season Sunday with a match against an MSU Denver team who is also fighting for a postseason bid with 13 conference points, kickoff is scheduled for a noon start at the Auraria Complex.
