ThunderWolves and Skyhawks battle to scoreless tie

DURANGO, Colo. (September 28, 2014) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team battled the Fort Lewis College Skyhawks to a 0-0 tie Sunday in Durango.

The ThunderWolves were led by Laikyn Koss (R-Fr., Riverside, Calif.) who had four shots in the game, three of which were on goal.

Despite losing the shots battle 23-13, the Pack had another solid defensive performance, holding the Skyhawks offense at bay. The Skyhawks also led the game with nine corner kicks.

Goalkeeper Jenn Rucker (Sr., Renton, Wash.) made seven saves in the game, getting her second shutout of the season.

CSU-Pueblo (3-2-2, 1-1-2 RMAC) will return home next Friday when they welcome MSU Denver to Pueblo, kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Soccer Complex.
