DENVER, Colo. (Regis Match Pitch) – In the first of a four-game road trip for the Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team were on the wrong side a own-goal, falling at Regis, 1-0.
CSU-Pueblo managed just one shot in the game, Kacie Licata (So., Upland, Calif.) fired a shot that was saved from the Rangers goalkeeper.
The only goal of the game came in the 9th minute when CSU-Pueblo got the ball deep in Rangers territory and was awarded a corner kick. A crowded front net resulted in a perfectly placed ball to deflect off a Pack defender, past the goalkeeper for the 1-0 lead.
Regis outshot the Pack 15-1. They also held a 6-1 advantage on corner kicks.
CSU-Pueblo (3-4-2, 1-3-2 RMAC) continues their road trip next week when they travel to Gunnison, Colo. to take on Western State Colorado University Friday, kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Gateway Field.
