GOLDEN, Colo. (CSM Soccer Field) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team was shutout for the second straight game Friday, falling 5-0 at No. 16 Colorado School of Mines.
The Orediggers played at a high intensity level from the start. The home team scored first in the 21st minute on three passes inside the box for the early lead.
A successful penalty kick, late in the first half allowed Mines a 2-0 lead heading into halftime.
CSU-Pueblo managed just nine shots in the contest to Mines twenty-six.
Three second half goals including an own-goal against the Pack all but sealed the game.
Pack goalkeeper Jenn Rucker (Sr., Renton, Wash.) made six saves against an active offensive Mines attack.
CSU-Pueblo (5-7-2, 3-6-2 RMAC) will return home Sunday for Parent's Day as they play host to Colorado Christian. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Complex.
