POTTSBORO, Texas (GoThunderWolves.com - March 12, 2013) - CSU-Pueblo cut one stroke from its first round output but couldn't make up ground on leaders Lubbock Christian and Arkansas Fort Smith, finishing third at the Texoma Chevy Dealers Intercollegiate in Pottsboro, Texas.
CSU-Pueblo saw three of its five entrants cut strokes from the first to second rounds, including team leader Domi Dinallo (Jr., Elephant Butte, N.M.), who turned in a 77 Tuesday, two strokes better than her first-round 79, to finish fourth overall.
Leina Kim (RFr., Saipan, CNMI), despite losing six strokes from the first round, still finished in 15th place overall with an 18-over-par 162.
CSU-Pueblo, ranked 39th in the nation, finished ahead of higher ranked teams such is 38th-ranked Cameron, 34th-ranked Arkansas Tech and 21st-ranked Southwestern Oklahoma.
CSU-Pueblo will next hit the links next weekend when it travels back to Texas to Midwestern State University for the MSU Invite.
