POTTSBORO, Texas (GoThunderWolves.com - March 11, 2013) - Playing on a cold and dreary course in Pottsboro, Texas, CSU-Pueblo overcame the conditions to get two sub-80 scored as it sat in third place at the Texoma Chevy Dealers Intercollegiate.
With temperatures under 40 and the course muddy after being two days removed from a storm, the field struggled to get traction all day long. CSU-Pueblo, however, was solid on the 72-par course as two of the eight participants to card sub-80 rounds were ThunderWovles.
Domi Dinallo (Jr., Elephant Butte, N.M.) shot a 79, as did Leina Kim (RFr., Saipan, CNMI). Each sat tied for third place overall, three strokes off the pace of Henderson State's Kendall Earp.
As a team, the ThunderWolves sat in third place overall, five shots behind leader Lubbock Christian and one shot back of Arkansas-Fort Smith.
CSU-Pueblo, ranked 39th in the nation, played ahead of higher ranked teams such is 38th-ranked Cameron (11 shots back), 34th-ranked Arkansas Tech (15 shots back), and 21st-ranked Southwestern Oklahoma (16 shots back).
The final round of the Texoma Chevy Dealers Intercollegiate will conclude Tuesday.
