PUEBLO, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Sept. 14, 2012) - The 2012 CSU-Pueblo women's soccer team looks to bounce back from an up and down preseason when they open RMAC play Friday night at the Rawlings Sports Complex.
The Pack hosts a feisty Colorado School of Mines team to open up conference action. This year, however, the ThunderWolves will be looking for a better result against the Orediggers. Last season the Pack saw an overtime heartbreaker when Mines narrowly beat the Pack in the 2011 finale.
Head coach Janet Cassidy and her returning team will want to wash the bad taste of a tough loss to end the 2011 season with a solid win against the 'Diggers. Cassidy said the ThunderWolves didn't reach their full potential in the preseason, going 0-2-1 to start the 2012 slate, she is looking for the Pack to give a full-fledged effort as the Pack seeks its first win over Colorado Mines since 2008, a span of four games.
