DENVER, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Sept. 23, 2011) - The CSU-Pueblo women's soccer team dropped their third straight game to open the conference season losing 3-0 to Regis University.
The scoring opened up in the 32' on a corner kick from Rangers from Rachel McMahon that found the head of Kikki Arnold.
Before the Pack were able to gather their feet they were beaten again before the second half ended on a goal from Jordan Miller. A pass from the six yards out by CC Rinehart found the Rangers leading scorer for a commanding two goal lead.As the offense tried to get going the Rangers struck once more when Marissa Davis beat the keeper Thompson for insurance and a 3-0 lead.
Although the offense was hard to come by Melissa Christensen (Sr., Kenosha, Wisc.) tried to help the cause with three shots on goal. Angela Mendoza (Sr., Oxnard, Calif.) was the only other ThunderWolf to reach the net finishing with two shots on goal.
They will have a chance to break the trend when they travel to Nebraska-Kearney for a game scheduled for 1 p.m.
