Metro State 1, CSU-Pueblo 0
Pueblo, Colo. ---> The CSU-Pueblo women's soccer team opened
their RMAC Conference schedule at the familiar confines of Rawlings
Sports Complex against defending league champion Metro State,
falling to the Roadrunners 1-0 Sunday afternoon.
The Pack wasted no time in attempting to attack the Metro
goalkeeper as the T-Wolves showed some promise early, battling off
the pesky, but always tough Roadrunner squad. The game would
remain deadlocked until the 35th minute when Metro State connected
with a soft dribbler into the goal behind a diving Randi
Walters (Sr., Oxnard,
Calif.) That lone goal turned out to be the
game winner as the T-Wolves would eventually slow the pace of the
game and have several shots on goal, however it was too little too
late for the Pack as they dropped to 1-3-1 (0-1-0 RMAC) on the
season.
The ThunderWolves will look to improve on their conference
record next week when they play their first game on the road on
Friday when they travel to N.M. Highlands before finishing off the
weekend with another conference home game against Nebraska-Kearney,
that game is scheduled for a 12 noon start time.
