Emery Taylor (Sr., Aurora, Colo.) went all out in his senior day game, as he returned an interception 74 yards for a touchdown, totaled five tackles (three solo), recorded two pass breakups and forced a fumble in the 34-7 home victory against Western Colorado. He established the school's creer interception record on his pick six.
The forced fumble was recovered by the ThunderWolves and five plays later was turned into a Pack touchdown. His two pass breakups tied a season high. Both his forced fumble and interception came in the fourth quarter to help secure the victory and the 10-1 regular season for the ThunderWolves.
The football team, enters the postseason as the No. 9 team in the country, earned the four seed in the Super Four Region and will host 5-seed Augustana Vikings Saturday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at the Neta & Eddie DeRose ThunderBowl.
