JaNaiya Davis (Fr., Hewitt, Tex.) led the ThunderWolves to a 1-1 start to the season with 17.5 points per game, while shooting 55.6 percent from the field. The freshman played 34 minutes per game knocked down 3-of-4 (66.7%) from 3-point land and was 3-for-4 (75%) from the free throw line.

She added 3.0 assists per game and four of her 11 rebounds on the weekend were on the offensive end. She scored 14 points and shot 54.5 percent from the field in a 77-68 overtime victory against Texas A&M-Commerce.

Davis dropped 21 points and added five assists in a 78-74 road loss to No. 10 Lubbock Christian. She shot 56.3 percent in the loss.
