D'Andre Brumfield (R-Sr., Dallas, Tex.) punched his ticket to Nationals after finishing third at the NCAA Division II Super Region VI Championships, Saturday in Kearney, Nebraska.
Brumfield won his first bout by a 7-3 decision to advance to the semifinal at 125. He then fell by a narrow 7-6 decision to No. 4 Wesley Dawkins of host University of Nebraska-Kearney. He was victorious by a 7-4 decision to advance to the third place match.
He secured his spot at nationals with a 12-3 major decision against No. 12 Cody Fatzinger of Western Colorado Unviersity.
The ThunderWolves totaled 69 points to finish sixth as a team. The Pack qualified three to compete in the national meet, which is set for March 13-14 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
