Colorado State University Pueblo

Marcelo Laguera (Sr., Chihuahua, Mexico) continued his exceptional senior season Saturday with a runner-up finish at the 2018 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships in Arvada, Colorado. The Colorado State University-Pueblo men's cross country team finished third in the race. 

The No. 12 ThunderWolves totaled 109 points and a recorded a team time of 2:09.01 to finish one point ahead of No. 2 Colorado School of Mines. No. 1 Adams State University was first (30 points) and No. 5 Western State Colorado University (71 points) was second. 

Laguera clocked a time of 24:38 in the 8K race to finish just a second behind the RMAC Champion, Sydney Gidabuday of ASU. He averaged 4:57.4 per mile and 3:04.8 per K. Laguera has two first-place and two runner-up finishes this season. He earned All-RMAC First Team with his effort on the course at Stenger Soccer Complex.
