Cortney Cowles (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.) helped to lead CSU Pueblo women's soccer to its first win of the season and a 1-1 record last week.

Friday against Newman, Cowles scored the game-winner during the 66th minute in a 2-1 Pack victory. In Sunday's defeat to Cal State San Bernardino, Cowles registered three more shots and one landing on frame.

Cowles led the ThunderWolves with seven shots and five landing on goal in two matches.

CSU Pueblo has one game at home this week and welcomes Northwest Oklahoma State for a 11 a.m. kickoff at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
