Ben Gould (So., Canyon Country, Calif.) went undefeated (4-0) last week at the Doug Moses Open, hosted by New Mexico Highlands en route to the 197-pound title.
His day included three pins, two in the first period and the third coming during the second period of the semifinal round. Gould defeated a pair of grapplers from Western Colorado in the final two matches, including a 7-0 shutout victory over WCU's Sage Harrison in the championship bout.
The CSU Pueblo wrestling team will have a quick turnaround and will compete this Sunday at the Bob Smith Open hosted by Fort Hays State in Hays, Kansas.
